What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Roofing Technician position at Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing?
Job Description:
- Perform general installation and related responsibilities correctly, safely and timely as related to specific work category: Roofing
- Work independently and direct Technicians who assist on projects as assigned
- Promote and actively participate in Chamberlin’s Safety Program and use safe work practices
- Learn, understand and promote Chamberlin’s core values of safety, quality and teamwork
- Help in the training and development of Technicians
- Desire to advance within the Chamberlin career track
Experience: At least two years of experience in roofing, preferably in a commercial application.
Skills: Advanced knowledge and ability to demonstrate a proficient skill level for roofing, English speaking, bilingual preferred, able to read, understand and follow blueprints
Abilities/Requirements:
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and construction documents
- Must be able to work independently and lead by example on work projects
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Must be able to work outside in changing weather conditions
- Must be able to work in elevated locations
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to get to different job locations
- Must be looking for full time employment with a desire to advance within the company
Education Required
High school diploma or GED encouraged but not required, Safety certifications and Chamberlin University course completion for division categories
