Commercial Roofing Technician

Job Description:

• Perform general installation and related responsibilities correctly, safely and timely as related to specific work category: Roofing
• Work independently and direct Technicians who assist on projects as assigned
• Promote and actively participate in Chamberlin’s Safety Program and use safe work practices
• Learn, understand and promote Chamberlin’s core values of safety, quality and teamwork
• Help in the training and development of Technicians
• Desire to advance within the Chamberlin career track

Experience: At least two years of experience in roofing, preferably in a commercial application.

Skills: Advanced knowledge and ability to demonstrate a proficient skill level for roofing, English speaking, bilingual preferred, able to read, understand and follow blueprints

Abilities/Requirements:

• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and construction documents
• Must be able to work independently and lead by example on work projects
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
• Must be able to work outside in changing weather conditions
• Must be able to work in elevated locations
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to get to different job locations
• Must be looking for full time employment with a desire to advance within the company

Education Required

High school diploma or GED encouraged but not required, Safety certifications and Chamberlin University course completion for division categories
