Job Description
SUMMARY
The Data Analyst Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness by collecting and organizing raw data from multiple sources and programs. This position will be responsible for performing basic data analysis using statistical tools, creating visualizations to present findings, and supporting management by preparing reports and communicating insights to stakeholders, while primarily focusing on data manipulation and preparation tasks under close supervision. Collaborating with cross-functional teams will be critical to ensure the successful execution of process improvement initiatives. Excellent communication and change management skills will be required to help the bank meet efficiency goals and operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Gathering data from internal systems, databases, surveys, or external sources.
- Become proficient on bank specific software systems (ex: FIS Horizon, ImageCenter, Workflow, H360, etc..) and understand the existing reporting capabilities and data extraction methods used for each system.
- Stay up to date on Chambers Bank utilized banking systems and changes.
- Identify and correct data errors and format data for analysis.
- Perform statistical analysis using tools like Excel or data analysis software to identify trends and patterns. Effectively communicate findings to leadership.
- Create charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate data insights visually. Work with across departments and management groups to identify reporting needs.
- Prepare and present clear summaries of data findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Proactively look for opportunities to continuously improve the operations of Chambers Bank
- Contribute to developing and documenting data analysis processes and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Gather and analyze data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to quantify process inefficiencies and track improvements over time.
- Compare bank performance to peer and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
- Ensures staff maintains the privacy and confidentiality of customer information.
- Works with Bank and customer confidential information while performing the essential duties enumerated above.
- Routinely drives a motorized vehicle to various Bank locations and other job-related functions
- Maintains ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
This position is performed primarily in a professional office-type setting. The position includes driving a personally owned vehicle, which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts, as well as some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.
The incumbent, in the course of performing this position, spends time writing, keyboarding, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 15 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, smart phone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), scanner and image systems, computer terminal, laptop computer, personal computer, tablet, printers, or other equipment as needed and/or directed.

The incumbent in this position must be able to read and understand documents, instruments, and highly technical reports, perform detailed work; and problem solve. Incumbent must also display proficiency in customer contact, analytical reasoning, math, language, presentation skills, and verbal and written communication. Incumbent must be able to effectively manage deadlines and stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. Incumbent must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time.
SAFETY SENSITIVE
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position because it requires the regular handling of highly sensitive and confidential Bank and customer information and operating a motor vehicle on a routine basis. Performing this job in a discreet and professional manner requires alertness at all times. Any lapse of attention could have a significant financial impact on the Bank and its customers, or on others while operating a motor vehicle.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like statistics, mathematics, computer science, or business analytics
- Some prior experience with data analysis projects or coursework is preferred.

A current, non-suspended driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage as governed by Bank policy are required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities, as well as the ability and willingness to travel between Bank and branch locations, during the day, overnight, and in and out of state as required.
