Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our dynamic family-focused YouTube team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through family vlogs and a deep understanding of video production processes. While previous experience editing is required, we are willing to teach the specific style and approach we use to ensure the content meets our vision. You will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished final products that engage and captivate our audience, with a particular focus on family-oriented content. This role requires proficiency in various editing software and an eye for detail to ensure high-quality, family-friendly content creation. Duties
- Edit family vlog content for multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with project goals and brand standards, be able to provide revisions as necessary.
- Collaborate with the family and other team members to develop creative concepts and storylines that resonate with our audience.
- Utilize Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and other software to enhance video quality with motion graphics, visual effects, and family-friendly animations.
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Conduct color correction, audio mixing, and final rendering of videos, maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout.
- Assist in the production process by capturing footage as needed, including family moments, activities, and special events occasionally.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure all assets are properly archived.
- Stay updated on family-focused content trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve editing techniques.
- Be willing to learn and adapt to our specific editing style, as we are happy to teach the right candidate.
Experience
- Proven experience in video editing, preferably in family vlogs or family-oriented content creation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and familiarity with motion graphics is essential.
- Experience in content creation, videography, photography, and photo editing with a focus on family themes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of film principles, storytelling techniques, and creating family-friendly content that resonates with audiences.
- Passion for editing, with a genuine interest in family vlog editing and the drive to succeed in this field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
