Chaminade High School seeks a full-time Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty team. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching mathematics courses to students in grades 7-12.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education and the ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles. Experience with Desmos activities and whiteboard thinking tasks is highly desirable.
In addition to instructional responsibilities, Chaminade faculty members are also involved in coordinating extra-curricular and co-curricular clubs and activities. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
Requirements
- NYS Certification in Mathematics (Grades 7-12)
- Relevant Master's Degree (completed or in progress)
Prior teaching experience, particularly in high school mathematics, is preferred. Familiarity with Building Thinking Classrooms principles and Desmos activities is also an asset.
