ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees building control networks and automated building control systems.
- Diagnoses building automation systems, operational and application problems, and provides solutions and technical support; determines optimal system hardware/software compatibility, and configuration of building automation systems.
- Reviews and monitors controls and mechanical systems to maximize equipment life, operation design, safety, and security. Provides utility monitoring, analysis, and recommendations to improve energy consumption.
- Acts as the central point of communication for all facilities related issues, ensuring facility operations are reliably and efficiently managed. Includes receiving, coordinating, and dispatching all facilities requests.
- Tests and calibrates system devices to ensure functional reliability of operating/monitoring systems.
- Troubleshoots and repairs direct digital control systems using computer programs. Oversees and coordinates preventive maintenance programs for facility security, surveillance, and building access; performs HVAC and mechanical systems repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
- Documents engineering tasks; coordinates labor, equipment, and materials. Provided cost estimates.
- Administers technical support programs and maintenance agreement contracts, including coordinating vendor interface with appropriate personnel and facilities; provides technical training as required.
- Develops plans to grow and mature utilization of building automation systems consistent with established policies, procedures, and budget. Develops and coordinates specifications for system programming, networking, and expansion; identifies and implements energy reduction opportunities.
- Works with end users to identify and define requirements; analyzes building plans, construction specifications, codes, and computer programs to determine digital control systems project requirements and identify necessary repairs.
- Maintains and repairs mechanical systems, such as low pressure steam boilers, air compressors, pumps, blowers, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated thorough knowledge and experience performing routine general maintenance support services. Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent building codes. Demonstrated experience working with various systems including energy management, fire and life safety, security, camera, access control, environmental control, boiler control, and chiller control.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Completion of a Trade School Education in Electrical, Steam, or Refrigeration is preferred. Two (2) or more years of experience installing and maintaining building/plant control systems and their related equipment. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must have a valid Driver’s License, with a good driving record. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: General knowledge of digital control concepts such as analog and digital inputs and outputs, sequences of operations, point addressable devices, closed loop and supervisory feedback systems, device programming, serial communications, and computer networking. Skill in analyzing control system malfunctions and determining appropriate repairs. Knowledge of general methods of electrical equipment installation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, crouching, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting from 50 to 75 pounds to stack, store, or move materials, supplies, and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible workweek, any day of the week, any shift of the day, with additional hours occasionally required. In the event of a facility emergency, the incumbent must be on-call and available.

$26 an hour based on experience
