ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensures proper operation of slot equipment on the casino floor at all times.
- Monitors casino floor constantly, assists guests with all minor machine problems, machine payouts and machine fills.
- Responsible for clearing bill validator jams, Ticket In Ticket Out (TITO) jams, and TITO paper replacement.
- Provides customers with currency for operating slot machines or for conducting other gaming activities.
- Handles jackpot payments after appropriate approvals are obtained.
- Receives, secures, handles, counts, reconciles, and distributes large sums of money accurately and promptly.
- Completes required casino forms for slot jackpot / fill slips and follows set procedures for re-filling. Verifies all moneys at the beginning and end of each assigned work shift, as directed.
- Maintains effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all guests and employees. Provides personalized attention and assistance to customers.
- Verifies customer winnings and explains gaming rules and regulations, as necessary.
- Performs responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations, and gaming rules and regulations. Demonstrated experience receiving, securing, handling, counting, reconciling, and distributing large sums of money. Demonstrated working knowledge of slot machine games and operations. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which include contacts with employees and guests. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE : Graduation from High School or equivalent. Graduation from a gaming school or equivalent is preferred. One (1) or more years of recent and related gaming experience, preferably in slot operations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
REASONING ABILITY : Decisions are limited to within the scope of essential duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License and must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
OTHER SKILLS / ABILITIES : Excellent customer service skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Essential duties involve performing physical exertion including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting various gaming equipment, including coins weighing up to 30 pounds. Essential duties include working a flexible workweek with additional hours on a routine basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : Essential duties involve working near large numbers of people while primarily in an inside environment, which may contain high noise levels.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED : Slot operation equipment used includes but is not limited to : dollies and carts for transporting money, pliers, screwdrivers, fanny packs, swipe cards, slot machine keys, wristbands, and various other hand tools. General office equipment includes computers, printers, photocopiers, staplers, and tape.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS :
12.00 an hour depending on experience plus gratuities
