ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet guests with a welcoming and friendly attitude.
- Assist in seating guests and providing them with menus.
- Settle guests with water, beverages, bread, and more.
- Relay any daily specials or promotions.
- Elaborate on menu items, ingredients, and preparation techniques, and inquire about food allergies.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests and input them into the POS system.
- Provide recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Address any inquiries about the menu, including allergies or special requests.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure all orders for a table are prepared and served promptly and simultaneously.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and appealing presentation, while ensuring the entire table is served within a reasonable timeframe.
- Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and attend to any requests or concerns.
- Replenish drinks, clear plates, and reset tables to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Deliver attentive and personalized service by anticipating the needs of guests.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Work closely with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Present bills to guests and process payment transactions with precision and speed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to foster a positive working environment.
- Assist colleagues during busy periods or whenever required.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and mandatory training sessions.
- Performs all duties in compliance with safety standards, health standards, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Performs special projects when needed or requested.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. A positive outlook and a passion for the hospitality industry. The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure. Strong multitasking and time management skills. Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including awareness of dietary restrictions and allergies. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of recent experience serving in a reputable establishment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: No additional certifications are required.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Basic mathematical aptitude for handling payments and calculating tips. Meticulous attention to detail for accurate order-taking and payment processing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion such as frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties involve working in a small, confined area with floors that may become slippery in the process of preparing beverages. Essential duties require lifting trays, which may contain food and/or drinks, and lifting up to 50 pounds to stack, store, or move kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible workweek with additional hours routinely required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$16.00 an hour based on experience plus tips
