POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Location: Champaign County Courthouse
101 E. Main Street, Urbana, Illinois
Duties: Ensures order and security within the Courtroom to provide for the efficient and secure operation of a high-volume courtroom.
Qualifications:
The position requires proficiency in the use of firearms, physical control tactics, and de-escalation techniques. Good interpersonal communication skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to work in a multicultural and diverse environment are required. The position will require a successful applicant to pass both a medical physical and psychological exam as a condition of employment. The position is also subject to an 18-month probationary period. The applicant will be required to attend a residential training program of 5-14 weeks, possibly not local. Depending upon the school, you may need to pass the Illinois P.O.W.E.R. test.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (day shift - with some overtime)
Salary: $ 24.30/hr
