Qualifications

• Paraprofessional License or ability to obtain license (Please review the attached document for more information)
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, and parents
• Possess good human relations and communication skills
• Ability to lift 30 pounds or more
• Ability to use approved student restraints
• Ability to bend, stoop, turn, squat or lift in order to serve student needs

Application Deadline

• This position will remain posted until the hiring process is complete; however, interviews may be conducted after February 27, 2025, so interested applicants should submit their materials ASAP to ensure consideration.

Important Notes

• This position is for the District's High School Summer School Program, which will be located at Central High School.
• The first session runs Monday-Thursday from June 9, 2025-June 26, 2025.

There will be no summer school held on Thursday, June 19, 2025; an additional day will take place on Friday, June 20, 2025.

• The second sesstion runs Monday-Thursday from June 30, 2025-July 17, 2025.
• Student Contact Hours will be from 8 : 00 a.m.-1 : 15 p.m.
• Staff will be expected to be on duty (and will be paid) from 7 : 45 a.m.-1 : 30 p.m.
• Staff will also be paid for a staff meeting from 8 : 00 a.m.-9 : 00 a.m. each session (June 6, 2025 and June 20, 2025). Staff working both sessions will only attend the 1-hour staff meeting on June 6, 2025.
• Please note that classes will only run if enrollment requirements are met, regardless of whether a position has been offered.
• Teacher Aides will be paid at their hourly rate.
