POSITION: FLEET MECHANIC

Are you a mechanically inclined go-getter, or are you an experienced mechanic looking for a new challenge? We're currently on the lookout for a Fleet Mechanic to maintain our unwavering commitment to safety and customer service. This position involves performing minor repairs, such as fixing liftgates, lights, brakes, and doors, conducting regular yard checks, and collaborating with our repair team to diagnose issues and perform preventative maintenance on our fleet vehicles to ensure repairs are efficient and effective. • Work Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule; with occasional weekend work required (about once a month)
• Salary: $20.00-$30.00/hr depending on experience/qualifications (CDL Class A)

Requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

· Ability to pass a background check and drug test (drug-free workplace).

· Basic mechanical skills with the willingness to learn and advance in more specialized areas.

· Ability to follow OSHA safety protocols.

· Capacity to maintain personally owned tools in good working order.

PREFERRED

· Valid FL CDL.

· ASE Diesel Certification.

· 2 years of experience as a Fleet Mechanic or in a similar role.

· Experience working with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and hydraulic systems is a plus.

Physical demands and work environment

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, bend, stretch, squat, climb and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 lbs. We are a Drug Free Workplace. Background check and Drug Testing Required.
