Toddler Lead Teacher

Champion Christian Learning Academy is a childcare that provides care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. CCLA's engaging curriculum focuses on Music and Movement; Pre-Literacy and Language; Creative and Expressive Art and Fine Motor; Preschool STEM; and Beginning Sports and Gross Motor. The Lead Teacher position at CCLA creates a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Implement a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, the assistant teacher observes and documents children’s interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and staff. Teachers are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs under the direction of the Director.

·      Help with keeping classroom clean at mealtime bathroom time and throughout the day 

·      Assist with meals and support during mealtime

·      Creative in working with children

All positions require background checks, fingerprinting, and a physical for clearance to work.

• Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience (preferred).
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
