Champion Container Corp is a growing distribution company of industrial packaging supplies is looking for an ideal candidate to join our growing purchasing department. Champion Container is searching for experienced candidates for the position of procurement specialist. Our ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and good computer skills, as well as a professional demeanor, flexibility, and reliability. We provide an excellent salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30pm. No overtime or weekend requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing Paperwork for Incoming and Out-Going Shipments
- Heavy Computer Work and Follow up with Vendors
- Interaction with multiple Warehouses
- Support of Purchasing Staff
- Ensure any necessary paperwork is processed correctly and efficiently
- Where appropriate, forecast demand and assure material supplies support needs
- Perform functions associated with purchase order submission and payment
- Establish, build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
- Ananyze and enter price changes in the system
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all products
- Assist in the completion of counting, entering and verifying physical inventory for daily cycle counts
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information relating to pricing, sales and customer information
