Custodian/Light Maintenance - Manufactured Housing Facility

in Athens TX is seeking an Custodial Associate to join our team!

We are seeking someone who is willing to perform custodial duties but also perform light maintenance in our offices and warehouse facility. Looking for someone to assist with outside maintenance such as keeping the grounds clean and manicured, small repairs, assist custodial team with keeping the facility clean and assisting with odd jobs around the plant.

Job Title: Custodian

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, restrooms, lunch areas and other areas.
• Regularly sanitize common areas throughout the plant.
• Empties trash and garbage containers - inside and outside.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Some light grounds maintenance
• Keeps common areas, walkways and parking areas free of debris.
• Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies
• Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally
• Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
• Attention to detail
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism
• Must be able to prioritize, follow instructions and have good communication skills
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 pounds fairly often, and be able to move, lift and carry boxes of supplies
• Must be able to withstand cold and hot temperatures in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
