The Supply Chain Specialist will be in a 6-8-month temporary direct employee position reporting and supporting the Supervisor, Purchasing and Buyers. This position will play an essential role in establishing the supplier & purchasing strategy for company goals over the next 18 months with a goal to reduce supply chain material costs by $2 million dollars. This position will review, and update material procurement processes and strategies related to suppliers and vendors. The Supply Chain Specialist objectives will include the establishment of inventory analysis, buying strategies, development of primary and secondary source suppliers, performing analyses on supply chain data and setting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure the effectiveness of the Supply Chain. Further the Supply Chain Specialist will look at the reduction of freight costs by establishing new suppliers in the geographical proximity of the State of Florida. This position must be comfortable in both an office and a warehouse/manufacturing environment. This position must be comfortable dealing with both onshore and offshore suppliers on a global scale. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities:
· Create the company’s supply chain strategy
· Establish suppliers and vendors within the geographical proximity of Florida
· Review and improve supplier terms related to lead time, minimum order quantities, logistic costs and On Time Delivery (OTD)
· Establish a lean purchasing strategy
· Establish supply chain that is flexible and can support growth
· Analyze data from shipping and delivery processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
· Establish, evaluate, and report on KPIs
· Establish supply chain inventory targets
· Train and guide employees in supply chain management
· Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes in a global environment
· Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
· Ensure supply chain processes meet legal and regulatory requirements/standards
· Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to establish terms towards profitability
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or similar field
· Supply Chain Certification and 10 years of experience in supply chain
· APICS Certification a must
· 2-5 years’ experience in D365
· 2-5 years’ experience with Lean Manufacturing
· 1-3 years’ medical device environment
· 1-3 years’ international supply chain experience
· Proven exceptional planning skills and project management experience
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
· Expertise in strategic planning, analytical thinking, and evaluating systems for continuous improvement
· Relationship management skills and active listening
· Complex and creative problem-solving skills
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse individuals and teams
· In-depth knowledge of ERP along with previous ERP integration experience
· In-depth understanding of risk management within the supply chain of the company
· Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage tasks with
minimal supervision
