Job Description:
The Ledger Independent is seeking a passionate, full time, Paginator/Graphic Artist, preferably with strong illustration skills to join our team and make an immediate impact. This position would be responsible for supporting all our newspapers owned and operated by Champion Media, LLC.
Responsibilities:
· Produce both print and digital ads from scratch. Inspect provided artwork for quality and press/web configuration.
· Offer and execute creative solutions for content presentation.
· Work with local editor(s) and sales teams to continually improve our publications.
· Utilizing digital software tools to upload advertisements digitally for both print and web.
· Generate newspaper layouts, build special sections, contribute to newspaper page design.
Skills:
· Experience, exposure or desire to learn Graphics and Pagination
· Adobe Photoshop or more aligns, including courses taken during course of education.
· Must be able to multitask, handle hard deadlines and be a true team player.
· We put an emphasis on teamwork, accountability, problem solving, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills and writing.
· Strong typing and English skills.
Salary: Starting at $11.00/hour
