Your Role as an Aging Specialist
In this role, you’ll manage aging reports, investigate claims, and ensure timely payments. Your ability to focus on details and meet deadlines will be crucial in helping our clients thrive. Key responsibilities include:
Analyze and Monitor Aging Reports:
- Identify overdue accounts and prioritize follow-ups based on payer deadlines, balances, and risk factors
Claim Follow-Up:
- Contact insurance companies to check claim status and resolve payment delays.
- Resubmit or appeal denied claims with appropriate documentation and corrections.
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and regulatory requirements
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of communications, claim updates, and follow-ups.
- Generate reports summarizing AR trends, resolved accounts, and improvement opportunities.
- Identify recurring claim issues and recommend solutions to prevent delays.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with providers, coding teams, and insurance representatives to resolve complex issues.
- Escalate unresolved claims to the Billing Manager or appropriate department.
