Field Service Technician II
Job Summary
Field Service Technician II will have a market to maintain which covers multiple sites and reports directly to Lead Technician.
The Field Service Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and for documenting related repairs and service. Also recommends changes in systems, programs, and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs. The Field Service Technician performs the following duties in the field with minimal supervision and coaching.
Responsibilities
Support the foundation of a positive culture driven on the companies values
Establish a healthy working rapport and effective communications with all throughout the company
Complete a minimum of three site inspection per month per site in assigned market
Perform work in adherence to safe work practices and procedures and in compliance with applicable standards and specifications. Remain current on all laws pertaining to safe maintenance and repair of car wash equipment
Troubleshoot reoccurring issues and provide solutions
Perform periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment
Responsible for accurately troubleshooting and repairing chemical, mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies.
Performs diagnostic analysis
Completes projects so that there is no delay in repair/upgrade and is thorough so that site is 100% operational once project is complete.
Maintain truck inventory accurately and manage parts inventory according to company policy and procedures
Complete weekly vehicle inspections
Attend and participate in all work-related meetings, scheduled inventories and training classes
Maintain all certifications as required by manufacturers and local/state/federal law
Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, while obeying local laws and regulations
Utilize maintenance work order system to complete repair calls, close completed calls, enter resolutions for calls and update calls according to company policies and procedures
Complete assigned work by required deadline
Respond to high priority calls according to company guidelines
Provide sound technical assistance to all team members
Provide on-site technical training pertaining to use, operation, and maintenance
May assist in the installation of new car wash equipment
Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner
Maintains all company owned and leased equipment in proper condition
Accurately depicts information from others. Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely, and accurately to supervisor
Other Car Wash operations and processes are as necessary
Education and/or Experience required for a Field Service Technician
3 years field technician experience
Driven
Advanced of mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatics
High and Low voltage electrical knowledge
Industrial automation
Car wash maintenance experience preferred
Requires technical knowledge and ability to develop improved methods for fulfilling responsibilities
Skilled in welding and fabrication
Excellent organizational and time management
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Communication/Language Skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must
Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions
Technical Competencies
Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics
Understanding of PLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three-phase power
Physical Job Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons
Work a minimum of 50 hours per week, M-F 7am to 6pm
Available weekends and holidays when necessary
Weekly travel between markets, staying overnight as needed (Percent of weekly travel depends on market locations)
Be on your feet for extended periods of time
Physically able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, step to perform job duties
Ability to carry up to 40 pounds short distances
Alert and able to maneuver around moving vehicles and equipment
