The House Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel’s guest areas. This position involves a range of tasks including preparing rooms for housekeeping, managing soiled linen and trash, assisting with laundry operations, and ensuring that linen and supplies are adequately stocked. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional service to guests and supporting the housekeeping team.
\n- Prepare Vacant Rooms: Strip all beds and remove any leftover items before the housekeeper enters.
- Handle Soiled Linen and Trash: Collect all soiled linen and garbage from the rooms and transport them to the designated disposal areas.
- Manage Waste and Linen: Deliver all garbage to the designated waste disposal area and transport sorted linen to the laundry area.
- Assist with Laundry Tasks: Help the laundry attendant with various tasks, including washing, ironing, steaming, folding, and storing linens.
- Stock Linen Supplies: Ensure that linen storage areas in both the laundry department and each floor’s linen closet are well-stocked and organized.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior experience preferred
- Understands the company’s policy on work shifts, guest’s possessions and privacy issues
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holiday
- Ability to address issues in a professional manner through effective interpersonal communication
- Ability to cope with fast-paced environments
- Ability to adhere to all company policies and the code of conduct
