Summary: The human resources coordinator facilitates the basic HR functions and provides administrative support to the human resources director. This is an unpaid position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Maintains HRIS records and compile reports as directed.
Maintains and audits employee personnel and benefits files to ensure compliance documents are in file.
Enters all new hire, employee changes, and termination information into HRIS and benefits databases with timeliness and accuracy. Always maintaining and adhering to regulations and policies regarding confidentiality of personnel information and records.
Facilitates and coordinates with hiring managers the recruiting process; posting open positions, gathering resumes and applications, screening applications, and assisting as needed.
Coordinates and compiles all background screening materials.
Verifies and maintains I-9 documentation.
Compiles handbooks and on-boarding documentation for new hires.
Maintains employee lists and organizational chart.
Assists HR staff with preparation and delivery of benefits enrollment meetings, employee orientation, agency wide trainings, all-staff meetings, HR audits, and special projects.
Maintains confidentiality and respect of employees.
Maintains consistent punctual attendance.
Participates in administrative and all-staff meetings.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
