What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable-Job Costing Specialist position at Champions Group Holdings?
Service Champions in Brea has an immediate opening for a dynamic Accounts Receivables- Job Costing Specialist to manage the accounts receivable process. The daily details of this position include ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, receipt of payments, and reconciliation of accounts. The successful candidate effectively resolves payment discrepancies and collaborates closely with other departments. This is a full-time, hourly position reporting to the Contact Center Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures for the Accounts Receivable Specialist role
- Make banking deposits and operating a bank deposit scanner
- Collect cash from employees for customer cash payments
- Run finance reports and apply payments to customer invoices
- Calculation of commissions for customer sales for employees
- Post and reconcile posted data from customer invoices ensuring accuracy of payroll and customer payments
- Manage communications relating to invoices with managers about employees’ commission pay and any changes for commission calculations
- Perform such other financial or administrative tasks as may be required by the Manager or General Manager.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 2-4 years college education preferred
- 3-5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and principles
- Knowledge of financing with application and charge of payments
- Ability to sort, check, count and verify numbers to ensure accuracy
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
- Ability to use an automated accounting and operation system
- Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing
- Basic data entry and intermediate knowledge of Excel and Outlook
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and type
- Speaking and hearing ability; heavy communication through talking and listening to employees and clients directly as well as through telephone conversations to resolve issues
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- May lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
