Champions is bringing a premier summer camp experience to Leman Academy of Excellence Sierra Visa and we are seeking Camp Counselors who have a love for nature and the outdoors! Successful Camp Counselors are committed to bringing Champions curriculum to life by while inspiring the curiosity of children of all ages and promoting fun and exploration while learning!
CAMP LOCATION: 1000 E Wilcox Dr, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635 and will run from May 29th to July 29th Monday through Friday.
Hours: possible hours could be 6:00 AM -11:30 AM or sometimes closing 2:30 PM -6:00 PM (hours will depend on how many students are scheduled to attend camp that week)
Hours of Operations: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Wage: $15.00-16.00 depending on experience and education

Work closely with peers to successfully implement Champions curriculum
Actively inspire participation while creating engaging and fun environments
Supervise and lead all aspects of the safety and well- being of children daily
Connect with parents and encourage family engagement
Cultivate positive relationships with families and community partners
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
Previous camp counselor experience preferred
Meet state specific qualifications for the role
AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
TB Test
CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to acquire
Strong love for nature and outdoor activities
Highly comfortable in or around water and familiar with water safety
Should have versatile recreational skills
AZ licesning qualififications:
An assistant teacher-caregiver is 16 years of age or older and provides the licensee with documentation of
a. Current and continuous enrollment in high school or a high school equivalency class;
b. High school or high school equivalency diploma;
c. Enrollment in vocational rehabilitation, as defined in A.R.S. § 23-501;
d. Employment as a teacher-caregiver aide for 12 months; or e. Service as a volunteer in a child care facility for 12 months;
Teacher-caregiver is 18 years of age or older and provides the licensee with documentation of one of the
a. Six months of child care experience and:
i. A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma; or
ii. At least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university, including at least six
credit hours in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field;
b. Associate or bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child
development, or a closely-related field; or
c. N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credential
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.75 - $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
