Position Reports to: Clubhouse Manager, Events Coordinator

A bartender is responsible for providing service to customers in the restaurant. Bartenders will seat tables, take orders, deliver food, open and pour alcoholic beverages, and clean tables during their shift. Bartenders are also expected to be able to work events and other functions, many of which take place on the golf course or in the banquet room of the club house.
- Greets Guests and seats new tables in a timely manner.
- Understands the restaurant and bar menu and is able to answer questions guests may have.
- Works at a fast pace attending to all tables in their section and at the bar
- Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
- Cleans and maintains restaurant and bar in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use the computer system in the restaurant.
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of bar and restaurant.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Is responsible for all alcohol sales during their shift in accordance with Kansas and Federal Law.
- Answers the phone and assists both members and guests with golf course needs. Including but not limited to: selling alcohol for the course, renting out golf carts, setting Tee Times and checking in members and guests before they go onto the course.
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Clubhouse Manager or Events Coordinator at the time.
Legal
- Must be twenty one years of age
- Must have no felony charges
- Has not been charged with any alcohol related offense.(MIP, MIC, Providing to Minors)
Knowledge
- Ability to handle money quickly and accurately (including checks and credit cards).
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling
- Understanding of Kansas and Federal Liquor Laws.
- Previous retail or food service experience is not required but appreciated.
Skills/Aptitudes
- English language and professional communication skills are required

- Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
Working Conditions
- This position will spend 100% of the time standing
- Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water
- The individual must be able to transport up to 35 pounds regularly
- This position will work events outside of restaurant hours and on the course.
