What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Teacher - Before and After School Program position at Champions?
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for children with autism and special needs
- Provide support and supervision to children during daily routines, including mealtime, naptime, and playtime
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills development
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with special needs
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment
- Support the lead teacher in assessing children's progress and documenting observations
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with autism or special needs is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with toddler care, preschool, or daycare settings
- Understanding of curriculum development principles
