Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students. This role requires a deep understanding of various subjects, including literacy education, math, and physical education, as well as experience in early intervention strategies. The Teacher will play a crucial role in guiding students through their academic journey while promoting their social and emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the individual needs of students.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods, providing feedback to students and parents as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices in literacy education, math, and physical education.
• Provide early intervention support for students who may require additional assistance in their learning journey.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance while ensuring compliance with school policies.
• Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and teaching methodologies.

Experience

*** MUST be ACTIVE in Oregon's Central Background Registry (CBR) to be considered. ***

• Proven experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
• Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development is highly desirable.
• Experience in childcare or private school environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of early intervention techniques and standardized testing practices is beneficial.
• A background in physical education or related fields will be considered an asset.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
