Champlain Orchards is one of Vermont’s oldest and largest, ecologically managed orchards. Nestled in the Champlain Valley, we grow over 175 varieties of apples, pears, plums, cherries, nectarines, and berries, with a commitment to sustainability and community. While our roots are in wholesale fruit production, our diversified farm also offers a seasonal Farm Market and Cider Garden. Additionally, we own and operate Douglas Orchards PYO operation and farm market.

Position Summary
The Internal Sales Consultant is ideal for someone with a knack for communication and a passion for sales excellence. This role requires a proactive approach to daily sales operations, combining customer engagement with strategic collaboration across our teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Communication: Manage daily inbound and outbound calls, effectively processing orders and ensuring an exemplary level of client satisfaction.
- Sales and Client Relations: Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively prospecting new opportunities to expand our market presence.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and marketing departments to align sales strategies with company goals and client needs.
- Administrative Accuracy: Prepare and manage invoices and sales reports using QuickBooks software; ensure meticulous accuracy in all sales documentation.
- Market Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of Champlain Orchards’ product offerings to provide informed and engaging client interactions.
- Compliance and Support: Adhere to all company policies, including health and safety regulations, and occasionally support Farm Market operations.
Ideal Candidate
- You are an experienced sales professional with a strong track record in client relationship management and sales target achievement.
- A skilled communicator, you possess a professional phone presence and are proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
- Your proactive and collaborative nature makes you a valuable team player who can also excel independently.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting and administrative experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience managing payroll and HR functions preferred
