Champlain Spine and Pain Management is seeking a full-time receptionist to join our team! We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with the ability to multi-task, work efficiently and work independently.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- To adhere to and support the mission, vision, values, goals, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Champlain Spine and Pain Management.
- Secretarial duties
- Receive and report on assignments from professional staff.
- Receive incoming phone calls and direct them to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain records of all patients.
- Document cancellations, no-shows, and same-day cancellations by patients.
- Serve as the initial contact point for all patients.
- Coordinate schedules for services
- Coordinate patients scheduled appointments
- Communicate changes in schedule to the appropriate staff member(s).
- Maintain secretarial equipment:
- Assist in inventory of supplies
- Attend required meetings and in-services.
- Collect copayments and/or balances due.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND WORK AIDS
Working knowledge of all office machines, including telephone system, copy machine, calculator, facsimile machine, and word processing software.
WORKER TRAITS: APTITUDES, INTERESTS, AND TEMPERAMENTS
1. Effective communication skills with patients, staff, and physicians.
2. Good mathematical skills are necessary.

5. Ability to perform in situations requiring direction, control, planning, and execution of the daily schedule.
6. Ability to work with people politely and tactfully.
7. Exhibit confidentiality and good judgment when aware of such information requiring discretion.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Heavy lifting of up to 100 pounds with assistance and 50 pounds without assistance. Considerable stooping, pushing, and pulling.
WORK RELATIONSHIPS
1. Reports to the Manager and/or Supervisor
2. Communicate and coordinate with all staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School graduate
- Ability to operate a computer
- One year of experience in the medical field preferred
