Setup Technician/Deliver Driver
Set up new equipment, perform routine maintainance, and transport equipment to and from customers.

Tasks
- Set up new equipment for product display or sale to consumers.
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and servicing
- Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Use basic mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues and problem solve to load and fit on truck or trailer bed.
- Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
- Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons to transport and deliver equipment.
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
- Interact with customers in a professional manner.
- Demo equipment with customers, as needed.
- Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal guidelines.
- Effectively use maps and GPS.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
- Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs.
- Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.
- Read bills of lading to determine assignment details and unload trucks.
- Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting, or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks.
- Operate forklift to assist in loading and unloading equipment
