The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) has exciting opportunities for you to make a meaningful impact in our community by joining our leadership team to serve as our Associate Director at the Champlain Inn in Burlington, Vermont. The Champlain Inn offers temporary shelter, housing advocacy, educational opportunities and daily meals in a community setting with the goal of assisting people to find permanent housing. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
The Champlain Inn Associate Director will assist in overseeing the operations of the Champlain Inn and supervise the work of Housing Advocates, Interns, Volunteers and special projects. Provide leadership and direction in the absence of the Director.
Assist individuals who are experiencing homelessness to find or maintain suitable housing, including advocating for clients with local social service agencies organizations, landlords and funding sources. Support all data and reporting requirements for state, federal and foundation reporting.
This position is Tuesday - Saturday Day shift, 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in social or human services or combination of education and experience from which comparable skills and knowledge are acquired. Must have a demonstrated history of success in working with people experiencing homelessness and in program development; strong supervisory, management and training skills; and an in-depth knowledge of the causes and effects of homelessness, affordable housing, poverty, economic justice and multiple oppressions affecting economically vulnerable groups
