Job Description
We are seeking a long-term substitute teacher for our Preschool classroom at the Addison County Early Learning Center in New Haven, VT. This is a full-time position, 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday from mid-February to mid-June. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Meet required screenings and complete background checks in compliance with Vermont Licensing Regulations for Center-Based Childcare and Preschool Program Regulations
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be willing to obtain within the first twelve months of employment
- Complete the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate within the first twelve months of employment, or have a three college credit course in child or human development or in school-age care and education
- Have a commitment to social justice and working with families with limited financial resources
- Access to reliable transportation
- Physical ability to carry out required tasks
