Description
The Crew Lead will be responsible for safely working to install energy-saving measures in homes of low-income Vermonters and/or on construction sites while also supervising crew members doing the same to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This can involve the usual hazards of construction, including but not limited to entering small spaces (attics, crawl spaces, knee-walls), being on ladders or scaffolding, using power tools, etc.
The Crew Lead will conduct daily equipment safety inspections with crew and report findings to Production Manager/Asst Production Manager; maintain job paperwork daily, including labor and materials logs, and job notes on work order as each job progresses; initiate purchase orders to obtain materials needed to complete each work order; and ensure quality of installation work as done by self and crew.

Requirements
The ideal candidate must have a High School diploma or equivalent required and a minimum of two years of experience in the position of Crew Member Level 2 OR at least two years of related equivalent work experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired. Carpentry, other housing renovation and electrical skills along with the ability to safely use power tools and equipment are required. Be able to coach and manage multiple crew members to maximum productivity on job site, maintaining positive work attitude and ethic; to interact with clients to explain energy measures being installed and to educate on any maintenance requirements for continued effectiveness.
Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, access to reliable transportation and willingness and ability to travel within the CVOEO service area. Ability to drive Weatherization vehicles to and from jobsites in various weather conditions.
