Champlain Valley Union High School seeks a candidate for a full time House Director beginning August 2024. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader focused on maintaining and growing a dynamic, inclusive, and progressive school community.
Job Qualifications:
Three years of teaching experience and a Masters Degree
Administrative license
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment
Ability to work as a member of a team
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the operations of the House
- Oversight and guidance for specific curricular areas including curriculum development, budget development and management, and supervision of staff
- Evaluation of professional staff in assigned curricular area and of support staff in the house
- Direct responsibility for student engagement, equity, and for the overall climate of the school
- Oversight of school wide committees/programs based on assignments
- Planning and facilitating the school’s action plan (proficiency, personalization, SEL) at the school, curricular area, and supervisory union level
- Membership on the Leadership Team
- Other duties as assigned by the principal
