General Education Paraprofessional
Shelburne Community School is seeking an energetic paraprofessional to join our school team. We are looking for skilled, caring individuals to assist, supervise and provide support to all assigned students/groups as directed by a licensed professional. The candidate will be an advocate of inclusive education, a problem-solver and strong collaborator, and a positive team member. The ability to promote child growth, foster independence, and a willingness to learn are essential.
This position may include:
- Supporting instructional activities (including behavioral instruction), developed and adjusted as required by a designated professional
- Collecting data to share with designated professional(s)
- Supervising students when assigned, including lunch and recess duties
- Fostering independence so that students can fully participate in school activities
- Communicate with appropriate educational personnel and related service providers
- Participate in team meetings upon request
- Provide support for students on bus route
