1.0 FTE Special Educator - Off-Campus/Alternative Programs
Location: Champlain Valley Union High School
CVSD is seeking an innovative and collaborative Special Educator to join our team at CVU. The Special Educator in this role will provide case management (0.50 FTE) to students who are placed in off-campus local day placements, and will also provide services and support for our on-campus alternative program (0.50 FTE).
CVSD is seeking educators with demonstrated leadership, organization and problem-solving skills who share our passion for inclusive education. The ideal candidates will have experience working on collaborative teams. Candidates should indicate in their cover letter any specific expertise or experience they bring to their work, including (but not limited to): literacy or math expertise, and working with learners who have social/emotional/behavioral challenges.
Masters degree or equivalent in Special Education plus relevant experience in providing special education services is preferred, but candidates with different backgrounds who may be eligible for licensure are encouraged to apply.
