Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor animal health and vital signs during procedures and recovery.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Provide client education on pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort during visits.
- Utilize X-ray equipment for diagnostic imaging as needed.
- Support emergency veterinary critical care when required.
Requirements
- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of animal physiology, husbandry, and handling techniques.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Willingness to learn new skills and stay updated on veterinary practices.
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is advantageous.
