What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Business Development and Innovation position at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network?
The Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network is seeking a seasoned executive to drive the strategic growth of its intellectual property portfolio. As Director of Strategic Partnerships and Intellectual Property, you will be responsible for identifying and executing new business opportunities and overseeing the licensing and commercialization of innovations across the network's four hubs.
This role requires a deep understanding of life sciences, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven track record in business development and IP management within academia or the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. You will work closely with senior leadership to align business development and IP licensing activities with the network's overall mission and objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing business strategies to expand the reach and impact of the BH Network's intellectual property portfolio
- Building and maintaining relationships with industry partners, academic institutions, and other stakeholders
- Negotiating and managing licensing agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
You will have the opportunity to represent the BH Network at industry conferences, meetings, and other events, and prepare and present reports on business development and IP licensing activities to the executive team.
