The Opportunity
The Arias Group at the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub is looking for an outstanding and energetic research Scientist to join us. We are interested in exploring the mechanisms used by viruses to hijack the protein synthesis machinery. Our goal is to identify factors required for viral replication but dispensable for normal cell function that could be exploited to develop new antiviral strategies. Our primary research will evaluate the antiviral target potential of previously identified factors and establish methods to identify and validate new candidate targets. We are looking for a collaborative scientist with strong technical and communication skills who can thrive in an active research environment with access to state-of-the-art resources.
