Job Summary:
The Assembly & Installation Technician will play a vital role in the production of amusement rides and people movers by performing hands-on assembly and installation tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Strong background in mechanical/installation/fabrication and can work with a variety of materials.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Collaboration with other team members to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to build and assemble amusement ride components.
- Operate a variety of equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, saws, drills, grinders, and other hand/power tools.
- Build and install subassemblies and structural components for amusement ride systems.
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components into complete amusement ride systems, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Work with the engineering and design teams to resolve any assembly issues or challenges that arise during production.
- Follow established quality control procedures to ensure all parts and assemblies meet or exceed safety and assembly standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in mechanical or industrial technology preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fabrication and assembly; preferably in the amusement ride, automotive, or heavy equipment manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, crouching and kneeling, for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working in an indoor manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
