We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Saw Operator to be part of our unique industry.
Primary Job Duties:
- Cutting various types of metals per request of manufacturing work order
- Operating vertical band saws and cut-off saw
- Reading and interpreting drawings and/or blueprints
- Reading tape measure
- Fraction/decimal conversion
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times
Skills/Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating saws (vertical/horizontal band saw, cold saw, etc.)
- Ability to differentiate between various metals (i.e. steel, aluminum, brass, etc.)
- Ability to proficiently read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch as well as converting decimals to fractions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work within deadlines, follow verbal, written and work order instructions and work independently or with a team
- Great attention to detail and thorough inspection of work
- Individual must reliable and punctual with the ability to work 1st shift and OT, as needed
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
