We are seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our award-winning team and perform proactive strategies when working with challenging behaviors.
This position focuses on guiding and assisting with school-wide/classroom implementation of positive behavior support programs, increasing positive student behaviors.
Salary
The starting rate for this position is $20-$25 per hour based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement individual, group, or systems-level interventions to promote academic, social/emotional, behavioral, and independent outcomes.
- Reinforce appropriate student behavior and redirect negative behaviors.
- Maintain and update records related to student behavior strategies.
- Collect and chart behavioral data for progress monitoring.
- Provide support to teachers in monitoring individual student behavior and class-wide behavior management systems.
- Apply principles of applied behavior analysis to improve student outcomes and prevent disruptive behaviors.
- Conduct classroom or student observations using behavioral measurements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or higher preferred. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred.
