Job Overview
We are seeking an Instructional Aide to join our team and provide individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students and additional support to the core classroom staff. As an Instructional Aide, you will work with students to implement their individualized education programs (IEPs) and provide instruction and support in the classroom and community.
- Providing individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students.
- Assisting classroom teachers to create an atmosphere in which students feel safe, welcomed and exhibit high expectations of student learning.
- Implementing on-site and community-based curriculum instruction and behavioral intervention strategies consistent with the goals and objectives of each student.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent with passage of basic skills test.
- An associate degree or higher in education or a closely related field of study preferred.
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a paraprofessional, paraeducator, teaching assistant or similar credential preferred.
