Job Summary
We are seeking an Instructional Aide to join our team and provide individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students and additional support to the core classroom staff.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
- Provide instruction and support to students in the classroom and community.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere in the classroom.
- Implementing curriculum instruction and behavioral intervention strategies consistent with the goals and objectives of each student.
- Counseling students with academic issues and providing encouragement and support.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent with passage of basic skills test.
- An associate degree or higher in education or a closely related field of study preferred.
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a paraprofessional, paraeducator, teaching assistant or similar credential preferred.
