About the Position:
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds. Your expertise in applied behavior analysis, behavioral interventions, and crisis prevention will enable you to develop and implement tailored support plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans for students with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other related disabilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address systemic barriers to student success.
- Provide on-going training and coaching to classroom staff on evidence-based behavioral interventions and crisis prevention techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, including behavioral data, incident reports, and communication with families and professionals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent w/ passage of basic skills test.
- Associate's degree or higher in a closely related field of study preferred.
- Registered behavior technician (RBT) certification preferred.
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in a special education program setting.
- Strong understanding of developmental theories, research-based practices, and family-centered care.
