Job Description
The Behavior Specialist will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining our Positive Behavior Support (PBS) program. This includes designing and delivering individualized behavior intervention plans, providing coaching and technical assistance to teachers and staff, and collecting and analyzing data to inform instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver individualized behavior intervention plans based on student needs and goals.
- Provide coaching and technical assistance to teachers and staff on PBS strategies and techniques.
- Collect and analyze data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviors.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
