ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an exceptional educator to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction to students with diverse needs, including those with emotional behavioral disorders.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who require modifications to the curriculum and will be able to develop and implement effective education plans tailored to each student's unique needs. A strong background in positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and crisis intervention is also essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction and/or co-teach curricular subjects as required in IEPs.
- Accommodate or modify curriculum and assist with differentiated instruction for students.
- Act as case manager to special education students, updating IEPs and goals as needed.
