Position Summary:
Chandler & Campbelle Investment Group, in partnership with Vanderlande Industries, is seeking a skilled Aviation Systems Installation Technician to support the Eppley Airfield Terminal Modernization Program. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role responsible for the installation, alignment, and assembly of critical airport infrastructure systems such as conveyors and catwalks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layout plans, and operation manuals to determine installation procedures
- Move, load, transport, and unload machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, forklifts, and trucks
- Assemble and install airport systems and equipment including conveyors, platforms, and catwalks
- Use tools such as hand tools, power tools, hoists, jacks, squares, plumb bobs, micrometers, and levels to align and secure equipment
- Fasten machines to foundations or supporting structures by bolting, welding, or other methods
- Maintain strict adherence to all project and safety rules and protocols
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other contractors on-site
- Interpret and respond to all safety alerts and workplace hazards appropriately
Qualifications & Skills:
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of forklift operation experience
- At least 1 year of experience working from elevated man-lifts
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and alignment procedures
- Familiarity with optical and laser alignment tools
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, balance on scaffolding, and work in elevated or confined areas
- Willingness to work extended hours or multiple shifts when required
- Excellent hearing, vision, and depth perception to operate safely in construction and mechanical environments
- Experience with transit and leveling equipment a plus
Additional Information:
- This is a temporary assignment expected to last up to 22 months.
- The successful candidate must pass a background check and obtain a TSA-issued airport badge before starting work.
- Work may occur in varying temperature extremes and weather conditions.
