Summary:
The Operations Coordinator assists with managing administrative duties for the Fabrication shop floor. Assists Production Manager with ensuring time keeping and payroll, KPI’s and Quality Notices are accurate and posted. Supports team management to achieve defined goals of safety, quality, delivery, productivity and Lean 5s.
Requirements:Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Responsible for labor edits, entering PTO and payroll time for shop employees.
- Provide administrative support to shop huddle meetings, Metrics, KPI’s and Quality Notices on Huddle Boards. preventative maintenance system, 5s initiatives.
- Responsible for MRO inventory and Kan Ban’s are stocked and audited.
- Communicates schedules and requirements to sub tier suppliers supporting assembly.
- Helps coordinate orders with vendors and purchasing for tooling and supplies.
- Assists Inventory Control Specialist with cycle counting and material identification.
- Communicates operational issues with management.
- Coordinate machine maintenance and repair with maintenance personnel using Limble CMMC software.
- Work with applicable departments to maintain perishable machine tooling and inventory.
- Proficient at using the computer to run reports such as: Scrap report, Priority Dispatch report, NPH Report, Indirect Labor Report, Employee Efficiency Report, and Time & Expense Report.
- Maintains an organized, clean and safe environment and maintains 5 “S” standards. Complies with safety rules including PPE and OSHA standards.

Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities).
- Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing related environment.
- Proficient reading, writing, oral communication, and comprehension in English language.
- Self-directed; ability to work independently; and lead others.
- Ability to interpret and effectively communicate operating procedure, work instructions, company policies and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of computer integrated manufacturing software including accessing and retrieving information including reports using the computer.
- Ability to interpret data charts, trends, and goal setting measurements.
- Knowledgeable in root cause analysis and other problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, has the ability for diplomacy and fosters relationships between teams and departments.
- Proven problem solver who can build consensus and move the team to improvement.
- Knowledge of general industry OSHA regulations and application multiply cells or functional areas.
