Perform assembly operations on sub-assemblies and final product. Fits, aligns to close tolerances, and assembles components and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.

Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Assembles complex component parts that meet specifications of units.
- Works with both simple and complex set-ups using various hand tools, equipment, fixtures and tools.
- Completes a variety of assembly operations including: component assembly, electrical assembly, and final assembly.
- Responsible for individual quality of workmanship.
- Maintains an organized, clean and safe environment and maintains 5 “S” standards. Complies with safety rules including Personal Protective Equipment and OSHA standards.
- Participates in Lean initiatives eliminating wastes including overproduction, defects, transportation, waiting, inventory, motion, and over-processing.
- Works with sealants and solvents, exposure to noise.
- Operate wash station and pressure test station.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient reading, writing, oral communication, and comprehension in English language.
- Intermediate knowledge of blue prints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of basic math including arithmetic and unit conversions.
- Must possess broad knowledge of, and the ability to operate hand tools such as: measuring devices (tape measure, micrometers, veneer calipers), cordless screwdrivers, screwdrivers, nut drivers, center punches, hammers, crimping tools, drills, torque wrenches, torque screwdrivers, pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic hole punches, hand wrenches, ratchets and sockets, jib cranes, air operated manipulator for lifting and pallet jacks, and others as required.
- Must be capable of working in an industrial work environment.
- Cooperative attitude, shares critical information, and remains professional in difficult situations.
- Self-directed; ability to work independently and within teams.
- Experience in sheet metal and machine component assemblies.
- Experience working in the Aerospace, Medical or other highly regulated industry.
