Summary
Performs a variety of finishing operations to meet production standards and quality requirements, including de-burring, washing, tumbling, blasting, and/or other operations required for completion of product. This position may be responsible for assisting in the training of others in the Finishing department.

Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Able to perform majority of Finishing operations with no supervision.
- Deburr parts under scope utilizing deburring tools.
- Operate harperizer, tumbler, spinning and passivation equipment.
- Setup and run passivation equipment, run humidity chamber and perform copper sulfate testing.
- Setup and run laser marker.
- Setup and run laser welder.
- Document set-up sheets.
- Responsible for blasting and cleaning.
- Use a wide variety of mechanical/manual tools and operating procedures to finish parts.
- Visually inspects and checks own work and may inspect work of others per instructions; communicate with other departments as necessary.
- Use measuring instruments to ensure correct tolerances are met per customer requirements.
- May assist team lead in process development and documentation.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.
- Complies with company, department, and quality policies and procedures as applicable.
- Keeps Finishing Lead informed of job related problems and other information related to work activity.
- Maintains a positive work attitude and promotes a “team” approach throughout the department.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- This position requires a minimum of 3 years production or manufacturing experience. Finishing experience required.
- Must be fully trained in passivation.
- Ability to read basic tolerances and simple dimensions on blueprints and use measuring instruments.
- Ability to use all necessary inspection tools.
- Detail oriented.
- Proficient reading, writing, oral communication, and comprehension in English language.
- Demonstrated high level of mechanical hand-eye coordination.
- Positive attitude, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to maintain a high concentration level while doing repetitive work.
- Ability to use a microscope for some operating procedures such as de-burring.
