Summary (Main Purpose)
This position will be responsible for assisting the shop floor in ancillary operations including material preparation, product deburring, tumbling, washing, and packaging. In addition, they will assist in preventive maintenance of facilities and machines, as well as, general office cleaning at Chandler Industries location in Wyoming, MN.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
· Perform a variety of operations including de-burring, sanding, washing, tumbling, assembly and packaging and/or other operations required for completion of product, using mechanical and manual tools in a manner which will consistently meet production standards and quality requirements.
· Sweeps and cleans washrooms, shop areas and offices, removes refuse, mops, and scrubs floors.
· Performs cleaning and minor preventative maintenance on facilities and machines.
· Comply with safety rules including PPE and OSHA standards and report unsafe conditions to management.
· Maintains an organized, clean and safe environment and maintains 5 “S” standards.
· Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities).
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical aptitude.
The ability to speak, read, and write English is required.
Must be able to follow standard safety procedures.
Must be able to view and hand work small parts using a microscope.
Must have positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Must be able to understand and follow work direction.
Self-directed; ability to work independently and within teams.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Punctual and good attendance.
Must pass a criminal background check.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms

Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful)
Prior Deburring and Finishing experience.
Experience using hand and electrical tools.
Experience working in manufacturing.
Basic computer skills.
