Chandler Nursing Center, a nursing facility in Chandler, Texas, is seeking a full time ADON to join the team
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the DON in working with management staff including the Administrator, and Consultants in planning all aspects of the nursing operation, including setting priorities and job assignments.
- Monitor each unit’s activities as assigned, communicate policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, coach, and discipline as needed.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and medical team.
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor the delivery of nursing care, effective coordination with other support services, cleanliness and appearance of the residents, and morale of staff and to ensure resident’s needs are being met in a proactive manner.
- Management in Infection Control (IP certification a plus).
- Manage and overview staffing
- Staff education and training
Requirements:
- Must possess valid unencumbered, Texas nursing license.
- A minimum of 3 years of nursing home managerial experience.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing and rehab care center.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients, families, community members, volunteers and other staff on a daily basis. Possess a special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents and the elderly:
